to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Tyler, Texas, 75701! Job Title:

Certifications: BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: The unit consists
of 36 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. Float may be required to
units of equal or lesser acuity. Candidates must have a minimum of
2 years of experience. First-time travelers are not accepted;
previous travel experience is required. Every other weekend
coverage is mandatory. The patient population ranges from young
adults to geriatric patients. Priority admission is given to
patients requiring medical cardiac care and those recovering from
cardiac interventions. Interventions include cardiac surgery,
coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant. The unit
also admits hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.
Skills required include: Accessing and managing ports, arterial
line management, and blood product administration. Cardiac
telemetry and management of dysrhythmias are essential. Experience
in IV insulin protocols and managing vasoactive drips without
titration is required. Proper care of central lines, peripheral
lines, and PICC lines is needed. Candidates must be adept in
post-cardiac procedures and have experience with non-invasive
airway management. Wound care and tracheostomy care/management are
also necessary skills. Interdisciplinary support includes physical
therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and unit
secretarial support. Daily census typically runs at 36 patients
with an emphasis on cardiac care. This position requires strong
clinical skills and a commitment to patient care in a telemetry
