Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – Texas Start Date: December 1, 2025 Location: Fort Worth, Texas Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio | Two weekend shifts biweekly | No on-call required Highlights: 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit specializing in post-CABG recovery and advanced hemodynamic monitoring Work with cutting-edge equipment including CRRT (NextStage), Impella, Swan Ganz catheters, arterial lines, ventilators, and chest tubes Manageable 2:1 patient ratio allowing for high-quality, focused critical care EMR: Meditech Collaborative team environment with 45 RN staff members and dedicated charge nurse support on every shift Travel assignment with multiple positions available Requirements: Active RN license Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any critical care specialty) Ventilator experience required Proficiency in arterial line, central line, and chest tube management Preferred: CVICU-specific experience, CABG recovery, CRRT, Impella experience, Meditech EMR, BSN, and CCRN certification Willingness to float to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, or Cardiac Progressive Care Unit as needed Why It's a Great Opportunity: This CVICU role offers the chance to work in a highly specialized cardiovascular critical care environment where you'll care for complex cardiac surgery patients using advanced monitoring and life support technologies.
