Job Description GQR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Behavioral Health for a travel nursing job in Gainesville, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Behavioral Health - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Corrections - Registered Nurse (RN) - Days Start Date: ASAP / Fast Start Contract Length: 13 weeks (with potential for ongoing extensions) Shift: Days — 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM Hours: 36/48 rotation, guaranteed 36 hours per week. Overtime opportunities available based on performance. Job Details - Work with a juvenile correctional population, focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment. - Heavy medication pass role; strong med-surg or acute care background is essential. - Must be comfortable working in a secure environment with youth offenders under strict policies and procedures. - Requires adaptability, independence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting without engaging in internal conflicts or gossip. Experience & Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of RN experience. - At least 1 year of recent med-surg or acute care experience required. - Experience in LTAC, ER, skilled nursing, or psych is a plus. - Pediatric or juvenile experience is helpful but not required. - Must have an active Texas RN license or compact license. - BLS certification required. - IV certification to be obtained within 30 days of start. - COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions accepted). Compliance & Onboarding - Clinical screen required prior to submission. - Completion of specific new hire forms and submission of clear copies of driver’s license and social security card required. - Pre-start requirements include drug screen and fingerprinting (nurse cannot start until results are cleared). - Must complete all client-specific modules before starting. - TB test and additional compliance documentation required. Scheduling & Timekeeping - 4-week block scheduling provided by the 20th of each month. - Work week is Saturday through Friday for overtime calculations. - Weekend and holiday shifts may be required. - No more than 5 consecutive shifts allowed; OT capped at 20 hours per week. Bonus - $200 sign-on bonus upon completion of required modules and assignment start.
