• UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
  Responsibilities
  The Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) functions as a laboratory professional who assists other laboratory personnel in specimen collection, specimen receiving, specimen processing, laboratory testing, process improvement and quality initiatives.
  Qualifications
  Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certification from a nationally recognized agency as a medical lab assistant within 2 years of hire date. Preferred Job Requirements:
    • Experience working in the clinical setting
    • Certification from nationally recognized agency as a phlebotomist preferred. by Jobble
