Transplant Services role today!Job Summary And QualificationsUnder
the supervision of the Director, with a dotted line reporting to
the CNO, the department manager shares 24-hour accountability and
additional responsibility for the effective and efficient operation
of the Transplant department. All functions will be performed in
accordance with the standards, practice acts and licensure in a
manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.
Leads in planning, directing and implementing programs related to
service line.
- Responsible for the daily flow of activities and timely
provision of services
- Ensure appropriate scheduling and staffing of employees
according to hospital and departmental standards.
- Monitor and evaluate daily productivity statistics in
collaboration with the Director.
- Will act as a clinical resource for staff and physicians.
- Will actively promote support of and compliance to the hospital
safety program by enforcing safety rules, expectations and
regulatory standards, providing safety education on the department
and work process level and identifying and correcting unsafe
conditions and/or staff practices.
- Create or assist with the development and implementation of
policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization
and nursing standards.
- Will accept accountability and responsibility for achievement
of operational and capital budget goals for the department.
- Will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and
protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions,
use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation
procedures.
- Will engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the
patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication
fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.
- Will participate as an active member of the health care team
and positively promotes the rest of the team to
patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues.
- Will use job knowledge and proficiency of skills to
successfully assist in orientation of new employees.
- Will seek opportunities to impact the growth of the
organization by promoting excellence in patient experience and
providing high quality care to the patients served.
- Will demonstrate fiscal responsibility by taking ownership of
time management, decreasing waste of time and/or supplies, and
promoting cost effectiveness while maintaining patient safety and
quality of care.What qualifications you will need:Education &
Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing with a
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Expert clinician with critical care practice experience within
the last 2 years required.
- Minimum 3 years recent experience in a management/supervisory
role required.Licensure, Certifications, Training:
- Current RN licensure by the State of Texas or from a Compact
State if you declare the Compact State your Primary State of
Residence is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.Medical
