Commercial Retail Construction Traveling Superintendent to oversee
retail renovation projects across the U.S. This full-time,
traveling role is ideal for someone with prior experience managing
commercial construction projects who thrives in a fast-paced,
hands-on environment. As a Retail Construction Traveling
Superintendent, you'll ensure project success by leading
subcontractors, managing job site logistics, coordinating with
stakeholders, and maintaining strict build-out schedules. If you're

Responsibilities Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site
personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to spec.
Manage project schedules, daily logs, safety documentation, and
quality control using Procore. Interpret blueprints, floor plans,
fixture layouts, and local building codes. Communicate directly
with store/property managers and owners' representatives. Maintain
and adjust construction timelines to meet project deadlines.
Coordinate services within active retail environments while
minimizing disruptions. Conduct site inspections, oversee
permitting, and verify compliance with local ordinances. Track and
manage budgets, change orders, and project costs. Participate in
meetings, generate field reports, and evaluate subcontractor
performance. Travel out-of-state to project sites for durations of
5 to 16 weeks at a time. Qualifications 3 years of experience in a
Superintendent or similar field role specific to retail
construction required. Must have proven experience in commercial
renovation and remodel with existing construction. Must be capable
of self-performing all scopes of work excluding mechanical,
electrical, and plumbing (MEP) trades. Solid understanding of
permitting, blueprints, and retail build-out logistics. Strong
leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to
effectively manage timelines, subcontractors, and field issues.
Proficiency in construction management software (Procore
preferred). Willingness to travel nationwide and stay on-site
throughout project duration. Valid driver's license and clean
driving record. Must be willing to work overnights. Benefits Health
